FLOOR PLAN MARKING THE DIFFERENT CIRCULATIONS AND ACCESS
Modern architecture is characterized by being functional, so that the shapes of the buildings and spaces, as well as their interiors, were determined by the activities that had to be carried out and thus, after organizing and sizing the spaces based on the activities , we would think in volume, respecting the functional limits. This implies the lack of need to follow the walls of the lower and upper floors, the so-called free plan.
In the case of Amancio, as we said before, the house takes the example of the typical Argentine "chorizo houses", basing itself on them and giving rise to spaces related to each other, creating a spatial unit in the whole of the work. He manages to create open spaces, without obstacles, that allow to see from a corner of the house the bird that rests on the branch of the tree in front of the strictly opposite façade.
These characteristics, together with the appropriate choice of materials, give rise to La Casa del Arroyo a house for the musician Alberto Williams, where one of the most relevant functions of the house was fulfilled when he composed music in his office. .
The arrangement of the walls generates a fluid and continuous space that is both modern and articulated.
The presence of the sliding glass windows dematerializes the limits between the interior and the exterior, generating an infinite continuity between the artificial and the natural, an infinite and transparent space.
The only walls present are those strictly necessary to delimit private spaces or not fall through the stairwell.

And in this way, Amancio achieved an environment for his father in which his only concern would be to see the leaves fall from the trees from the comfort of his living room, dining room or study.
